Addis Ababa, Ethiopia –  A new cloud infrastructure service known as Ethio Cloud was officially launched today in a ceremony presided over by the Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dr. Belete Molla. This pioneering project is a collaborative effort between ICT Park, the country's premier technology hub, and Zergaw Cloud, one of a leading provider in cloud computing solutions.

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia –  A new cloud infrastructure service known as Ethio Cloud was officially launched today in a ceremony presided over by the Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dr. Belete Molla. This pioneering project is a collaborative effort between ICT Park, the country's premier technology hub, and Zergaw Cloud, one of a leading provider in cloud computing solutions.

Ethio Cloud is poised to transform the way Ethiopian companies approach technology by offering robust cloud services that will enable businesses to host and deploy their software with unprecedented ease and efficiency. Speaking at the opening ceremony held at ICT Park, Dr. Molla emphasized the government’s commitment to fostering a technologically empowered private sector. "Our aspiration as a government will be achieved and fulfilled by the strong participations of the private sectors," Dr. Molla stated, highlighting the pivotal role of industry collaboration in national development efforts.

The launch of Ethio Cloud is part of a broader initiative to boost technological advancement and digital inclusivity across various sectors of the economy. By providing scalable and secure cloud services, Ethio Cloud is expected to play a significant role in supporting startups, SMEs, and large corporations alike, facilitating smoother and more innovative operations.

The inauguration of Ethio Cloud was also graced by the State Minister of the Ministry of Innovation and Technology (MoIT), Dr. Baysa Bedada. Illustrating government support, Dr. Bedada emphasized the role of such initiatives in fostering economic growth and technological independence.

Mr. Henok Ahmed, CEO of ICT Park, expressed his vision during the event, stating, "Our aspiration is to make the Park one of the best centers of excellence in ICT, not just in Ethiopia, but across Africa. The launch of Ethio Cloud is a critical step towards achieving that goal." He emphasized the platform's potential in generating more job opportunities and encouraging a culture of technological entrepreneurship within the country.
